Four-channel, four-sensor ABS with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) is available on some models. ABS allows the driver to maintain steering control in an emergency braking situation by preventing wheel lockup. EBD improves stability in hard braking situations by balancing brake force front to rear.
The Accent GLS automatic has no problem keeping up with traffic, and it's more than happy cruising at speed on the freeway. The sedan's ride is on the soft side. Overall, the driving characteristics and performance make this a perfect commuter car. The SE coupe is stiffer than the GS coupe or GLS sedan, and the front anti-roll bar is 24 mm, larger than the 21mm on the GS and GLS.
The Accent has a high roofline with rain channels on either side. In the back, the roof sweeps toward the trunk making it look more like a coupe than a sedan. The Accent GL has black side mirrors and door handles; those parts are body-colored on other trims. The hatchback coupe looks much more sporty than the sedan and has more cargo-hauling power while not giving up any passenger space.
Inside, there's a clean, two-tone decor with straightforward controls. Materials are tasteful in appearance and solid in quality. All automatic Accents have an Eco indicator that tells drivers when they are being very fuel efficient, moderately efficient and less efficient. Manual models have a shift indicator that tells drivers the best time to shift gears for improved fuel economy. Up to five occupants can fit inside the Accent. Air conditioning is standard on all but the GL trim, where it's optional. Every door panel contains a bottleholder and storage pockets. Power windows, power door locks with keyless entry and power mirrors are optional on the GS and SE hatchbacks and GLS sedan.

The 2011 Hyundai model is the best car for you if you're interested in a subcompact that happily sacrifices design sophisticated for a low purchase price, high fuel economy, and an amazing warranty. The new Accent is a visual repeat of the 2010 Accent. Two body styles return: a two-door hatchback and a four-door sedan. Both feel reassuringly solid but neither is particularly svelte.
