2009 Overview

The Hyundai Sonata benefits from a number of updates for 2009. gets a host of revisions for the 2009 model year.

Both the Sonata SE and SE with the V-6 offer 17-inch alloy wheels, fog lights, firmer suspension, five-speed automatic transmission, chrome window moldings, tilt and telescoping leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls, automatic headlights, rear spoiler, trip computer, and solar control glass. The Limited features heated front seats, a sunroof, leather seating surfaces,  automatic climate control with filtration, a high-end audio system, and door sill trim.

Hyundai has designed the concave hood for maximum visual impact. Moldings are understated and elegant.

What's inside that counts

Inside the Sonata is much more spacious than its outward appearances would lead you to believe. Additionally, the fluid sculpture of the center stack blends seamlessly into the dash. The trim materials used are soft-looking and more sumptuous than previous models.

Comfortable seats are another asset to this sedan, especially for road trips. The front seats are a bit larger than standard, which only adds to the comfort factor and they are easy to get into and to exit from.

First Drive 2009 Sonata 

When driving this vehicle you'll find that shifting the manual is easy. If you drive on rough roads, you'll probably like the way the GLS four-cylinder handles the best.  It also provides a nice, quiet interior. All trim levels drive well and provide you with good handling, performance and braking power.
